Since I've seen a lot of threads asking this question but there is no answer. I've tried it.

I get an iBook G4 (latest model) from my colleague. After a Leopard installation, a lot of missing features since Tiger are unlocked except one, a spanning display. Since iBook, iMac G5 use a VGA port for connecting with external monitor and by its default, it supports only mirror display. Then some guys discovered that it is a software lock not a hardware lock so they wrote a software to enable it. That software named, Screen Spanning Doctor, is a kind of outdated since there are no iBook anymore.

I give it a trial on Leopard and it works perfectly. My colleague iBook is now supporting extended desktop display.

รู้สึกดีทุกครั้งที่ได้แกะเครื่องด้วยตัวเอง แม้ว่าจะมีอุปสรรคบ้างบางประการ (โดนเลย Adapter เจ๊งคากล่อง ก็ใครล่ะจะคิดลอง Adapter ที่ร้านเลย แต่ก็ยังดีที่เคลมได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ขอบคุณทีมงานของ MCC ครับ)

แล้วอะไรล่ะที่ผมกล่าวไว้ในหัวเรื่องว่า “ของแถมที่ไม่ได้ระบุไว้ในเว็บ” ในเว็บไซต์ของ Apple ได้ระบุรายการของที่มาในกล่องไว้ดังนี้

เนื่องจาก MacBook เครื่องที่แล้วมาแบบไม่ครบถ้วนเท่าไร เลยไม่มีส่วนของกล่องเทาที่บรรจุแผ่น Software ติดตั้งและเอกสารประกอบต่างๆ พอเป็นเครื่องนี้ผมเลยค่อนข้างอิ่มเอมกับการเปิดอ่านเปิดดูของเหล่านี้ และผมก็พบของที่ไม่ได้ระบุไว้ในรายการข้างต้น คือ ผ้าเช็ดจอสีดำ ในลักษณะเดียวกับที่แถมมาให้กับ iPhone, iMac (Aluminium), และ iPod touch (ไม่พูดถึง MacBook Air เพราะออกมาทีหลัง)

ตอนนี้ผมใช้ผ้าเช็ดจอที่มากับน้ำยาเช็ดจอ (ตอนนี้คงไม่ใช้น้ำยาเช็ดจอแล้ว เพราะกลัวจอลอก ทั้งๆ ที่เครื่องเก่าก็ไม่ค่อยได้ใช้มัน แต่มันกลับลอกได้) และคิดว่าคงจะใช้ต่อไป ไม่กล้าเอาผ้าดำที่แถมมามาใช้ (มันห่อมาดูดี ไม่กล้าแกะเลยกลัวหาย)

หลังจากที่มีเครื่องมือตัวหนึ่งออกมา เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกในการปลดข้อจำกัดของอุปกรณ์อิเล็คทรอนิคบางตัว และผมก็เคยทดลองแล้วเห็นว่าใช้งานได้ดี

เมื่อวานนี้ ผมก็ได้มีโอกาสเอาอุปกรณ์อิเล็คทรอนิคตัวนั้นมาใช้กับเครื่องมือรุ่นใหม่ (ที่แทบจะออกรุ่นใหม่วันเว้นสองวันเลย) ปรากฏว่าติดขัด แก้ไม่ผ่าน ทำอยู่หลายต่อหลายครั้งจนล้าก็เลยเลิก ซักพักก็ได้อุปกรณ์ตัวนั้นมาอีกชิ้นหนึ่ง (ซึ่งบังเอิญว่าเป็นรุ่นเดียวกัน) ก็ลองใช้เครื่องมืออีก ก็ยังมีปัญหาเช่นเดิม จนในที่สุดก็ต้องถอนใจกลับไปใช้วิธีเดิมๆ (ที่กินเวลาเป็นชั่วโมง)

จากเรื่องนี้ ทำให้คิดว่าอะไรที่แน่นอน บางทีมันก็ไม่แน่นอนนะ

Then he announced that 5 iPhone applications (Mail, Map, Stock, Note, and Weather) were available for new iPod touch available in the store. Then he said that an upgrade cost for existing iPod touch was $20.
